Many decades ago, my time at LSU and in Louisiana, included many visits to a Po’ boy lunch spot. Domilise’s tops that list with Parasol’s and Mother’s running right behind.  And it takes a lot of napkins to make it work.

Downtown Mobile has the spot to rival these great establishments.  Debris on Dauphin Street has it all going on: the bar, the food, the service…and lots of napkins.  Another rainy day and we saddled up to the bar for a very late lunch.  

We split the traditional debris Po’ boy with Zapp’s chips.  It was a melt-in-your-mouth tender roast with amazing gravy on the real deal French bread. I like extra pickles and Zapp's chips to add more tang and bang. Treat yourself the next time you are downtown.  The space is very attractive, the service great, and the food outstanding.
