I met Robin Shilling a couple of months ago at Warehouse Bakery & Donuts. We were both having lunch at one of the community tables. She was with a woman who was just moving to Fairhope, and I could tell Robin was helping her organize the move. Since I was by myself, I couldn’t help overhearing the conversation. As we both finished our lunch, I introduced myself, told her about Scenic 98 Coastal and asked for a card. After I reached out and asked her to tell us about herself and her business, Robin kindly put together the following article. Thanks, Robin!

I grew up the daughter of a Navy pilot, so we moved around about every 3 years, and I've lived in some wonderful tropical areas - Cuba, Key West, Pensacola! I think my love of organizing stemmed from our moves - I was always excited to be in a new place and wanted to get it set up just as I liked as soon as I could!

Besides helping friends and family get organized "for fun" my entire life, my professional background is in Event Production, House/Estate Management and Celebrity/HNW Personal Assistant (hey, it's all organizing, right?!).

I graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 1999 with a degree in Psychology, and immediately moved to Nashville, TN with friends. There, I honed my skills in the music industry behind the scenes - as a personal assistant, and I had my own house/estate management company where I catered to both celebrities and high net worth individuals.

I traveled the world with a global pop star, organizing her life along the way, for about two years until I decided I wanted to be back "mostly" in one place! I took a job with an old client in Dallas, TX for a start up company. There I was a liaison between celebrities and their chosen charities, helping them fundraise through events I organized.

One last job change landed me back in Nashville where I worked with a company producing food and wine and music festivals for large brands. I still do side work for them today! I can never escape the event world!

I moved back home to Pensacola, FL in early 2018, because I wanted to be closer to the beach and to family. I love warm weather, flip flops, drinks on a nice patio and hanging out with friends. I serve the beautiful Gulf Coast area from Mobile to 30A. Not in that area? Call me, I love to travel! *Travel expenses may apply if 45 minutes outside the Pensacola, FL area.

Organizing is my passion - I love to help individuals, families, and businesses increase their functionality and efficiency, and take the stress away from having JUST TOO MUCH STUFF.

My services include

  • helping people prepare for moves by purging what no longer serves them, packing their items in an organized way so that unpacking is so much easier. I will also unpack and organize in the new location.
  • just get rid of STUFF! People have so many THINGS these days and are literally being buried by their material things. I help talk through the process of letting go and bettering their overall quality of life.
  • Just plain organizing - getting that kitchen / bedroom / home office / mudroom etc. into a calm, functional space works wonders for sanity! 🙂
