Lucille may have been born in Columbus, Georgia, but she proudly claims Pensacola as home. After years of Navy life with her husband, Dean, through Cuba, Puerto Rico, Sicily, and California, they eventually settled on the Gulf Coast to begin their next adventure.
A grandmother with a sharp wit and no-nonsense streak, Lucille never passes up a girls’ day for shopping, trying new restaurants, or revisiting her Pensacola favorites. She’s an avid cook and baker known for decadent cakes, home-cooked meals, and beautifully hosted gatherings. Food is her love language, and she’s taught her granddaughter to cook with the same heart.
When she isn’t in the kitchen, Lucille is in her garden, browsing estate sales, scouting farmers markets, or casting a line, ideally before a martini at a local spot. Family remains at the center of everything, and she still looks at her husband the same way she did on their wedding day.
Above all, Lucille lives life with humor, love, and a little moxie, celebrating holidays in grand style and sharing the everyday stories that make life in Pensacola so sweet.
