Gulf Shores Out-of-Town Volunteers Join Forces with Eco Clean Marine for Coastal Cleanup in Gulf Shores!
GULF SHORES, AL — In a heartwarming display of environmental stewardship, a group of 20 out-of-state volunteers—including 11 children—teamed up with Eco Clean Marine during a recent visit to Gulf Shores to take action for the planet. In just two hours, the group collected 20 five-gallon buckets of trash near The Hangout, proving that people can make a meaningful impact no matter where they are from.
This spontaneous cleanup effort was more than just a trash collection—it was a powerful reminder that environmental care knows no boundaries. While many come to Gulf Shores for sun and sand, these visitors chose to dedicate part of their vacation to giving back to the community and coastline.
“We’re constantly inspired by the people who step up—whether they're locals or just passing through,” said Courtney Dombroski, Founder and President of Eco Clean Marine. “This cleanup was a perfect example of how small actions, when done together, can create big results.”
Eco Clean Marine provides the tools and resources that make environmental action easy and impactful for everyone. From supplying cleanup materials to fostering a sense of shared responsibility, the nonprofit empowers individuals to protect local waterways and marine ecosystems.
This effort is part of Eco Clean Marine’s broader mission, which includes monthly cleanup events, youth education, and innovative partnerships that drive community-based conservation.
Look for upcoming scheduled clean-up dates throughout the year, or schedule a special event for your family or business. It’s a great team-building experience and leaves a lasting impression on your community!
