Looking for a fantastic day trip for the whole family? You can’t do better that the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida! The National Naval Aviation Museum is among the world’s largest and most beautiful air and space museums in the world with 150 vintage aircraft, such as the first to cross the Atlantic Ocean.

Since its establishment in 1966, the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation has provided the flight path for thousands of benefactors to support the museum including expansion, aircraft restoration and the development of new exhibits. The museum includes various attractions such as the Naval Aviation Giant Screen Theater, Flight simulators, Blue Angels 4D Experience and the Flight Deck gift shop.

Home to the world-famous Blue Angels, in 1946, the Chief of Naval operations, Admiral Chester Nimitz, had a vision to create a flight demonstration team in order to raise the public’s interest in naval aviation and boost Navy morale. Over the years since, the team refined its demonstration with aerobatic maneuvers and introduced the first six-plane delta formation, still flown to this day.

The museum is incredible and the Blue Angels team performs amazing demonstrations all over the country throughout the year. If you are lucky to catch their Pensacola-home base performances in July and November, you will never forget it.  People come from by land and sea to watch this breathtaking show. And after the museum tour, enjoy all that Pensacola has to offer!
