Allison Bebee and Camille Cornett have the perfect partnership of business and creativity, and together they will bring a new curated art show to Fairhope during Arts and Crafts weekend, March 20th through 22nd. Allison and her husband, Daniel, own Apiary on Bancroft Street, an event venue that is their newest endeavor, along with their businesses, Gulf Coast Events and Rentals, Belforest Pointe, and Venue 31.

Camille is an artist who moved to the Scenic 98 Coastal area 3 years ago and had a showing of her paintings at her home during last year's festival. “I was looking for a venue to rent this year and reached out to Allison in hopes of booking Apiary, and the result is our collaboration to expand on Arts and Crafts, and bring a more contemporary, interior design-driven exhibition to the festival,” Camille explained.
Allison said, “We have been very busy with weddings and rehearsal dinners, but our venue couldn't be booked logistically during the festival, so this is the perfect use of the space. We like to host public events, and we held our first in November, Holiday Hive- an upscale Christmas market. We want to be more than just a private event space.”

The Apiary Art Show will feature fine art, photography, sculpture, and mixed media, and the pieces are jury-selected by interior designers and local creatives. Twenty artists have been selected for the indoor show, and Camille says the show will be ”confined and refined, a curated presence like a gallery.” Each artist will bring 25 to 40 pieces of art, and to make the event even more elegant, wine and cocktails will be served. Designed to be calm, welcoming, and inspiring, this free event invites visitors to take their time to discover and enjoy beautiful works of art. The list of artists can be viewed on the website apiaryfairhope.com/art-show.

Both Allison and Camille hail from Louisiana but found Fairhope in different ways. Allison met her husband at the University of Alabama, where she was a dance major, married, and moved to his hometown, where she has raised three daughters and helped build four successful businesses.
Camille, an LSU graduate with degrees in fashion and business, started painting when her engineer husband's work took them to Tulsa, Oklahoma. Moving again for his job in Theodore, they fell in love with Fairhope and moved here in 2023. She is now a mixed-media artist and a favorite of gallery owners and interior designers. Camille has 2 sons and also succeeds in parenting and making art, and her work will be displayed at the show. They are both beautiful, entrepreneurial, talented, and accomplished women and are bringing something new and innovative to the Fairhope art scene.
Apiary is at 85 North Bancroft Street in Fairhope, right in the middle of all the Arts and Crafts activities. Open Friday and Saturday, 10 am until 5 pm, and Sunday, from 10 until 3, this is an event in a lovely place that art lovers should not miss! This is exciting; put it on your calendar now!
